Quill Theatre’s 2017-18 Season

Before there was a pen there was the quill. What once allowed birds to take flight and soar on currents of air also allowed the words of a writer to soar through currents of time.

Part of Shakespeare’s genius was his ability to condense the complex human experience into words easily digestible to a common audience. From the world we live in to the world inside our minds, his characters and plays reflect the true human condition from the mundane to the extreme. “As luck would have it” in “one fell swoop” the mortal truths in Shakespeare’s stories have shaped our language, and our lives.

As Quill Theatre, we ignite these literary works, bringing them vitally alive to thrill and enthrall our modern audience. After all, the questions of the past are still our talking points today.

Join us for Quill Theatre’s 2017-18 season, our third full season since Richmond Shakespeare and Henley Street Theatre merged in 2015. It’s an exciting line-up, bringing us back to our roots, and grounding us in our mission of bringing the classics to Richmond in a fresh and innovative way. Stories that don’t end when the curtain comes down. Theatre Worth Talking About.
